The Foundation for Young Musicians (FYM) is a registered charity. We were established in 1990 and our aim is to raise funds for CYM London. The money we raise means that CYM can continue to offer bursary support to talented London school children, so they can experience first-class musical training and education. Half of CYM’s students would not be able to benefit from this tuition without financial assistance.
To date, FYM has raised in excess of £10 million to support young Londoners access high quality music progression.
Each year, we need to raise £150,000 to support young people in London, enabling them to attend CYM. We rely on generous donations from Trusts & Foundations, individuals and businesses. Please help us by donating now or joining our Patrons programme today.
All donations go to the Foundation for Young Musicians to support CYM London.
Please help us to help London’s young musicians and make a real difference to their lives in the city.
CELEBRATING 120 YEARS OF EXCELLENCE IN YOUTH MUSIC
In 2020 CYM will turn 50 and in 2021 the LSSO will turn 70. We now have an opportunity through the anniversaries of both of these incredible organisations to shine a spotlight on 120 years of combined youth music making in London and invite businesses, charitable trusts, individuals – parents and music-enthusiasts alike – to help build our FYM Bursary Fund to secure musical opportunities for talented young people in future generations.
FYM’s target is to raise £1 million by 2021, providing bursary support for another 1,000 talented students who would otherwise be unable to study at CYM and benefit from the opportunities of membership of the LSSO over the next 10 years.
